Worked as a Research and Development Chemist for 6 years at DuPont in their Agricultural division and then Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for 8 years where I developed small molcules for the treatment of neurological diseases. I received my Teaching-1 certification in 2010 and taught Chemistry at Imhotep Charter High School for 2 years. Since then I have been teaching as an Adjunct instructor for both General and Organic Chemistry at Penn State's Abington campus and Temple University. I enjoy working with young people and feel that my experience as a teacher and my work in industry helps me to highlight the value and utility of the concepts covered in the course. As part of my university teaching responsibilities I frequently work one on one with students to aid them in understanding the sometimes difficult concepts that they encounter in the course.
